BareBones Combatives is coming to Switzerland

On 19–20 September 2026, BareBones Combatives comes to Aarau, Switzerland, for a two-day Internal & External weekend.

This is not a weekend of collecting more techniques.

It is about understanding the human behind the skill—and then putting simple, functional skills under pressure.

Day 1 — BareBones Internal

The Internal system gives you the map.

We will explore the Five Pillars of Balance, Structure, Breath, Intent and Connection, alongside the maps, models and principles that help you better understand your body, mind, emotions, choices and behaviour under pressure.

We will look at questions such as:

How do you stay present when things become uncomfortable?

How do you organise yourself before trying to control somebody else?

How do you create better choices instead of simply reacting?

This is the person behind the skill.

Day 2 — BareBones External

The External system gives you the tools.

We will take the same principles and apply them through:

Movement
Striking
Defence
Manhandling
Progressive pressure drills

The work is simple, functional and adaptable.

No unnecessary complexity. No collecting techniques for the sake of looking clever. Just practical self-protection built around how people actually move, react and behave when things get messy.

Attend one day or the complete weekend

Day 1 gives you the internal map.

Day 2 gives you the external tools.

Together, they connect the whole thing.

This weekend is for martial artists, self-defence instructors, coaches, security professionals and anyone interested in practical self-protection and personal development.

BareBones is not about becoming more aggressive.

It is about becoming more capable, more aware and more adaptable.
